I’m newly married, and my husband and I moved to Wareham during our engagement—this place is the beginning of our married life together, and we love it so much here. While it is not part of Cape Cod, it has a rightful home here on the blog. This is a beautiful and often-overlooked place, and I’m excited to include it in my photography adventures.

The houses in Onset Village are colorful, unique, and chock full of mermaids.

Cape Cod, to me, has always held a little of the ‘90s charm. It’s unusually well preserved, and people like it the way it is. Some things don’t need fixing, and the classic Cape Cod vibe is one of them. It’s colorful, a sweet mix of Victorian and beach cottage, and it holds the quaint magic of yesteryear.

Onset has a spiritual history, and it hangs in the air a bit. Winding through the footpaths, every few steps there’s somewhere to sit and take it all in.
